Please join us at our Northeast Denver Discovery Day, scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library in Denver's historic Five Points. The library is located at 2401 Welton Street.
At our Discovery Day events, we share surprising and important discoveries made during the work of Discover Denver, and invite you to share your own knowledge with us. We invite you to bring old photographs, documents and memories of Northeast Denver (or, other parts of the city!) to share with the project. The information you provide will help Discover Denver communicate the places that are important to Denver residents and that make Northeast Denver special. Project staff and volunteers will be on site to scan documents and capture stories.
The Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library has just reopened after a two-year renovation project. Come explore this gem of the Denver Public Library system, including the second and third floor exhibits focused on the history and achievements of African Americans in Denver and the Rocky Mountain region.
