A building permit was issued for the property at 2201 E. 21st/2104 Gaylord in 1908 to owner N. Anderson. The first resident owner found in the 1910 Federal Census and the city directories was Louis D. Eichhorn, who lived at 2201 E. 21st Avenue with his wife, Enda, and mother-in-law, Clarissa D. Stevens, as well as a young lodger, Mr. Lee Kelso. The Eichhorns were music and voice teachers, and Louis D.
